Fish Rock Cave!
Great Diving Location
South West Rocks, including Fish Rock is home to an amazing array of marine life so you will easily understand how the island came to be named. As they are the closest dive sites on the east coast of Australia to the Continental Shelf, visibility of up to 40m is not uncommon and the mixing of tropical species brought in by the warm, blue currents with the blend of temperate marine life has produced an absolutely unique underwater experience.
Running right through the island of Fish Rock is Fish Rock Cave, this site presents a truly unique experience for divers. The thrill of entering a 125m long cave and travelling right through the centre of a small island provides Australia's best ocean cave dive experience.
Divers new to cave diving can also enjoy this location as an easy cavern dive penetrating the shallow entrance.
Exciting Marine Life
It is common to dive with friendly turtles, grey nurse sharks and masses of schooling fish, which feed in the passing currents. Expect to see schools of pelagics, giant Queensland grouper, rare black coral gardens, anemones, clownfish, lionfish, tropical crayfish, large stingrays, there's just too much to list so you'd better come with us and see it for yourself
