As a Dive 2000 instructor Mu enjoys introducing new members to the diving community and assisting them through their training.

He is a keen wreck and technical diver and also enjoys underwater photography.  As part of his role at Dive 2000 he also is a tour leader for dive holidays and excursions all around NSW and Australia.

Dave Young

Dave is one of our regular Divemasters who you will see around the shop and taking divers on the regular shore dives.  He is also a keen underwater photographer and often leads dive excursions to destinations such as Nelson Bay and the Great Barrier Reef.

In his spare time Dave also doubles as the Dive 2000 Webmaster.

Kevin Deacon

Kevin Deacon is considered one of Australia’s most experienced, accomplished and highly published underwater photographers. His images have received international acclaim and have graced the pages of prestigious books and magazines through out the World during the past 25 years.

Kevin’s expertise and experience includes organizing and leading adventure dive and underwater photography/video tours to exotic locations throughout the world.

As a PADI Master Diver Trainer Kevin has been actively involved in all levels of diver training from beginners through to trainee instructors and dive masters over the past 40 years.  He is regarded as one of the pioneers of recreational diving in Australia.

Cherie Deacon

PADI Divemaster
A diver since 1989 and co-owner of DIVE 2000, Cherie is a highly experienced and accomplished diver and dive tour leader who enjoys assisting others with the adventure of diving.  Cherie also enjoys capturing images of marine life with underwater photography & video.

As an accomplished underwater model, photographer and dive tour leader, Cherie has participated in a leadership role during diving expeditions and photographic projects to many remote dive locations including, Africa, Egypt, Galapagos Islands, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Fiji, Indonesia, The Great Barrier Reef and many other Australian destinations.

Josie Ruth

PADI IDC Staff Instructor & Master Diver Trainer.
Diving since 1989, Josie is the Chief Instructor and Director of Training at DIVE 2000. She is also an accomplished underwater photographer, scuba and underwater photographic equipment consultant and experienced dive tour leader.

Since 1995 Josie has enjoyed guiding new divers through their training and dive travel adventures to many of the world’s best diving locations. Josie is an excellent instructor in all aspects of diver training including underwater photography.
