When you go night diving you'll see a whole new world. Even your local dive site takes on a new personality at night, as many underwater creatures and plant life (different from those you see during the day) are active at night.

You'll learn night dive planning, organization, procedures, techniques and potential problems, and also get an introduction to nocturnal aquatic life.

PADI Underwater Navigator

Enriched air (also called Nitrox) is recreational diving’s latest tool to safely extend no decompression time. Especially in the 10 - 30 meter range, enriched air can significantly lengthen your no decompression times for a single depth dive.  The PADI Enriched Air course is designed to teach you the procedures for safe, recreational no decompression diving with enriched air.

Join one of Australia’s most acclaimed and published underwater photographers Kevin Deacon for an introduction or to hone your photo and video skills.

The Underwater Photography Workshop is conducted on board MV Ocean Trek over the weekend and covers the various aspects of underwater photography with film, digital & video systems.   Macro, close-up, standard lens, wide-angle, strobe light, &natural-light photography will be covered.

You will be introduced to the different camera systems, with a wide choice available for hire at Dive 2000 suitable for all levels of photographic knowledge.

Specialty Courses

Through the PADI Boat Diver Specialty course, you can learn the techniques and procedures for diving from different types of boats.  You'll learn about:

· Boat diving planning, organization, techniques, problems and hazards

· Proper boat diving etiquette, including equipment storage and conduct

· Specific and local boat diving laws and regulations

· Overview of emergency and safety equipment needed on- private dive boats

Boat Diver

As a Deep Diver you can unlock the treasures located beyond the reach of many.  You'll learn deep dive planning, organization, procedures, techniques and hazards. You'll also put this knowledge to the test as you go on four open water dives that range from 18 - 40 metres.

Deep Diver

The lure of exploring sunken vessels, and airplanes etc is something most divers can't resist. The PADI Wreck Diver Specialty course introduces you to wreck diving and helps you develop the skills and knowledge necessary for safe and fun wreck diving.  The course teaches the planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of wreck diving.  It includes preparation and use of lights, air supplies, special equipment, penetration lines and reels.

Wreck Diver

If you want to fine-tune your buoyancy and soar over reefs, extend bottom time by reducing air consumption and prolong the life of your dive equipment, the Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course is for you.  The course includes determining the correct amount of weight, buoyancy checks, fine-tuning buoyancy underwater, weight positioning for trim, and streamlining.
